Freshman parents help with Parking at Home Games, Sophomore & Junior parents spearhead The Taste of John's Creek and Senior parents keep the community spirit and camaraderie alive as well as volunteer. A volunteer coordinator for each class will ensure that every parent is involved as a volunteer. It takes many volunteers for a successful program.
Does my 8th grader need to be at weight lifting NOW? We want all the upcoming freshmen (aka current 8th graders) to be at weight training currently going on at 5:00pm-6:15pm Mon/Tue/Thursday in the Spring. They need to wear Cougar colors – Blue and Gold. This is an excellent class taught by Coach Wiley and gives the boys the opportunity to get to know one another and the coaches.
When does Spring Football start? The first day of spring practice is Monday, April 29, 2013.
What about summer workouts? Summer workouts will be Mon-Wed-Thurs mornings. Last year we had the older players at 6:45-9:00am and the freshmen at 9:00-11:00am. Summer workouts begin Monday, June 4, 2012. We encourage all players to attend all workouts if at all possible. We have a “dead” week from July 1 to July 8 - in which no activities will be held.

What are the fees associated with registration?
There are two separate fees. One is a player fee for $250 and that payment should be made out to CHS. The second fee is a registration fee and that payment is made to CHS Gridiron. The exact amount of the registration fee will be communicated in March 2013.
Where does this money go?
Monies collected and raised on behalf of the CHS Gridiron Club go towards the equipment and equipment maintenance, capital improvements, various football events, player clothing - basically any need necessary to improve and support the football program, etc.
Is insurance required for my child to participate? Yes. If you do not have medical insurance for your player, you can get very affordable individual insurance through Fulton County Schools. Forms are located at the Chattahoochee HS Main Office.
Where do the gate entrance fees go? The entrance fees (e.g. ticket sales) do not go to the football program, but to the school’s general athletic fund.
Do we have to fundraise? Fundraising is essential to CHS Football in order to keep the program strong and vital. We make every effort to limit the amount of fundraising activities, but need your full support to keep fundraising to a minimum.
What is the difference between the CHS Gridiron Club and being a Gridiron Super Cougar?
Paying your registration and player fees makes your family a part of the Gridiron Club, but it does NOT make you a Super Cougar. To become a Gridiron Super Cougar, a family joins the Athletic Booster Club at the Super Cougar level and chooses 'Football' to receive their support. The success of the CHS Gridiron Club depends on the number of annual Super Cougar memberships it obtains. The cost of a Super Cougar membership is $450 for your entire immediate family. The benefits are many and much of the cost is tax deductible. The big difference is below – these are the benefits of Gridiron Super Cougar: And this year at the Kick-Off dinner (July 29), we will have two drawings from all the 2013 Super Cougars with one winner receiving their choice of seating area (immediate family) in the stadium and one other will choose where their personalized paw parking space will be! So don’t delay, join today!
Can I pay for a Gridiron Super Cougar membership with installment payments? Absolutely! The full payment must be received before school starts in August 2013. Arrangements can be made with our Treasurer Stuart Rosenthanl at stuartr@rosenthalkaplin.com.
